Firebirds Men's Tennis Blow Past STAC in Regular Season Finale

SPARKILL, NY - The University of the District of Columbia men's tennis team earned a 9-0 shuout victory over East Coast Conference foe St. Thomas Aquinas in its regular season finale on Saturday.

The Firebirds improved to 15-3 overall and 3-1 in the ECC this season with the victory. STAC fell to 7-11 overall and 0-4 in conference. UDC clinched a No. 2 seed in the upcoming ECC Tournament with today's win.

District of Columbia swept the doubles competition and then all six singles matches for its ninth shutout victory of the season. The Firebirds are now a combined 42-12 in doubles play and 88-20 in singles play.
