UDC Basketball Team Participates in Sickle Cell Walk

Washington, DC: September 22, 2007-- The University of the District of Columbia Lady Firebirds Basketball Team was among the hundreds who participated in the annual Sickle Cell Walk on Saturday, September 22, 2007 in downtown Washington, DC. The Sickle Cell Walk raises funds to help conduct research on the causes and a possible cure for this disease, which is more prelevant among African Americans.
