Lillian McGill Named Black College Sport Page's Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Lillian McGill, a junior center for the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds Women's Basketball Team was named the Player of the Week by the Black College Sports Page for the week of February 16-22, 2010. McGill, a Sumter, South Carolina native, received this recognition for scoring 20 points and grabbing 16 rebounds against Washington Adventist University on February15, 2010.

Cooper Scores 19 Points in, 75-51, Win over Apprentice
Washington, DC: February 21, 2010-Today was Senior Day at the University of the District of Columbia's Women's Basketball game; a point not lost on senior guard Nicole Cooper (Fort Washington, MD) as she scored 19 points (5-13 three pointers) to pace the Firebirds to a, 75-51, win over The Apprentice School Builders. Cooper was one of three seniors concluding their college playing careers today and adding to her stats that will probably enhance her standing as one of the elite 3-point shooters in the country. She is currently ranked 63rd nationally among NCAA Division II schools in 3-point field goal percentages.

UDC Senior Women's Basketball Student-Athletes to be Honored Sunday, February 21
Washington, DC: February 19, 2010--The University of the District of Columbia Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will honor three senior members of the Firebirds Women's Basketball Team, who will be playing in the final game of their collegiate basketball career in Senior Day ceremonies on Sunday, February 21, at 2 p.m. Tiffany Church, Nicole Cooper and Tamara Watkins will receive special recognition for their contributions to the basketball team.
