UDC Competes in NCAA Atlantic Regional

Slippery Rock, PA: November 8, 2008—The 2008 NCAA Atlantic Regional Cross-Country Meet turned out to be quite a challenging event for the UDC Cross-Country teams as they adjusted to the newly re-aligned regional structure. The Lady Firebirds finished 21st in the Meet, with junior Stella Sang (Kapsabet, Kenya) coming in 41st place with the time of 23:48. The overall Women’s Meet was won by Shippensburg University.

Freshman Justin Chemallan (Nandi Hills, Kenya) led the Firebirds in the Men’s event finishing in 77th place with the time of 35:41. Lock Haven University won the overall Men’s Meet.
