Tennis Court Access Information

UDC Students, Faculty, and Staff - Students, faculty, and staff may use the University tennis courts by making a reservation through tenniscourts@udc.edu. Please include your UDC ID "N" number in your email request. Advanced reservations (24 hrs.) are strongly encouraged.

  • No more than four (4) UDC students, faculty and/or staff per court.
  • Guests/non-UDC participants are not permitted.
  •  All UDC students, faculty and/or staff must present a valid University of the District of Columbia ID at the time of the reservation or will not be permitted to enter the court.

 

A valid University of the District of Columbia ID is required at all times, and there are no exceptions to this policy.

 

Non-University of the District of Columbia Personnel and Community Usage – Community residents are able to join the Firebirds Tennis Courts Access Program.

 

FEES

March 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026: $100.00 per household

Community members wishing to purchase community access to the tennis courts should carefully read and agree to rules and regulations posted on the athletics website (udcfirebirds.com, inside athletics/facilities link) prior to purchase. Rules and regulations pertaining to community access to the tennis courts are included on the access form which requires user signature. Transactions in the UStore and/or made by check are final; by completing a purchase, you agree to this policy.

 

 

Rules and Regulations

 

• Court time can be reserved online up to one week in advance.

• Advanced reservations (24 hrs.) are strongly encouraged.

• 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM reservations must be made 12 hrs. in advance.

• ALL Saturday and Sunday reservations must be made 12 hrs. in advance.

• Court reservations are for one (1) hour.

• We ask that all cancellations be made at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled time.

• Valid ID is required at check-in (Registrants may report directly to the courts).

• Registrants may bring up to three (3) guests per reservation.

• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult when using University athletics facilities.

• Private Lessons are prohibited.

• Food or Drinks are not allowed on the tennis courts.

• Skating & skateboarding are prohibited.

• Absolutely no pets permitted on the courts or leashed in the spectator area.

The University of the District of Columbia’s intercollegiate teams, general student body, faculty, staff, and special user agreements have priority use of the tennis facilities.
