Erin Senegal Earns Men’s Basketball Third Team All-East Coast Conference Honor

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia's Erin Senegal was named Men's Basketball Third Team All-East Coast Conference at Friday night's ECC pre-tournament banquet hosted by UDC at its brand new student center.

The senior guard from Lafayette, LA finished the regular season 13th in scoring at 15.0 points per-game, 3rd in free-throw percentage at 85.3, and 5th in three-point field goal percentage at 43.9. He scored in double-figures in 20 of 29 games, including seven games of over 20 points and a career-high 33-point outburst in a win vs. Chestnut Hill on November 28th.

Senegal led the Firebirds to their first post-season bid since 2011-12 and their first season over .500 (15-14) since 2011-12. UDC was a No. 3 seed in the ECC Championship Tournament, but was upset by No. 6 Mercy College, 72-71 on Wednesday night.
