ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's lacrosse team fell to Roberts Wesleyan University 2-27, Saturday afternoon. The Firebirds fell to 0-2 in conference play while the Redhawks improved to 2-1.
Carnell Lofton Jr. went 20-33 from the face-off line, picked up a game-high 14 ground balls and added a goal and an assist. Julian Schemm was responsible for the Firebirds other goal.
UDC controlled majority of the face-offs winning 22 compared to RWU's 13. The home team outshot the Firebirds 65-25 and had fewer turnovers (14-29).
Up next, UDC (0-6, 0-2 ECC) will head to Buffalo next saturday for a match up against D'Youville.
