Henry Earns Second Rookie of the Week Honor; Pham Lands on ECC Honor Roll
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team picked up multiple weekly accolades from the East Coast Conference, as freshman Myles Henry was named ECC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, while Kelvin Pham earned his first career Honor Roll selection.
Henry turned in a standout performance in UDC's matchup against Virginia State, finishing with a game-high five goals. The freshman attacker accounted for more than half of the Firebirds' scoring output in the contest, helping power the UDC offense throughout the afternoon. He also added two ground balls while putting eight shots on goal in one of his strongest performances of the season.
The honor marks Henry's second Rookie of the Week selection this year, continuing an impressive debut campaign for the Firebirds.
Pham earned his first Honor Roll recognition after dominating at the faceoff X against Virginia State. The sophomore went 17-for-23 on faceoffs, controlling possession and giving UDC consistent opportunities on the offensive end. He also led the Firebirds with eight ground balls, showcasing his value in both possession battles and transition play.
