Defending ECC Champions UDC Men’s Soccer Announces 2025 Season Schedule

WASHINGTON, DC – University of the District of Columbia Head Men's Soccer Coach Matthew Thompson has officially released the Firebirds' 2025 schedule, unveiling a competitive slate that will test the reigning East Coast Conference (ECC) Champions from start to finish.

Coming off a historic 2024 campaign that ended with the program's first ECC title, the Firebirds return to action with a 16-game regular season schedule highlighted by high-level regional competition, key ECC matchups, and marquee home contests at the UDC Turf Field.

UDC will open the season at home with three straight home matches beginning on Thursday, September 4th, when they host Shepherd at 5 p.m., followed by another home contest against Goldey Beacom on September 6th and Slippery Rock (September 13th). ECC play begins Saturday, September 20th on the road against Mercy University, with additional home conference matchups against Queens (Oct. 1), D'Youville (Oct. 11),  Daemen (Oct. 25) and Senior Day vs. Molloy on November 1st.

Notable road ECC clashes include trips to, STAC (Sept. 27), Roberts Wesleyan (Oct. 4), and CSI (Oct. 22).

The regular season sets the stage for postseason action, with the ECC Playoffs beginning Thursday, November 6th. Semifinals will take place Sunday, November 9th, and the championship final is scheduled for Sunday, November 16th.
