Firebirds Ranked No. 9 in United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll After Perfect Opening Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following an undefeated start to the 2025 campaign, the University of the District of Columbia Men's Soccer team has been ranked No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II East Region Poll, released this week. It marks the Firebirds' first appearance in the regional rankings this season.

UDC opened the year with a perfect 2–0 record, earning a pair of home victories at the UDC Turf Field. The Firebirds defeated Shepherd University, 2–1, in their season opener on September 4 before topping Goldey-Beacom College, 3–1, on September 6.

UDC (2-0-0) will look to extend its unbeaten run when it hosts Slippery Rock on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1:00 PM at the UDC Turf Field.
