Kichwen Finishes in 7th Place at NCAA Southeast Regional
Wingate, NC: November 3, 2007—Sophomore
James Kichwen finished two points below the qualifying number for
the NCAA National Championship today, coming in 7th place out of a
field of 128 at the NCAA Southeast Regional today in Wingate,
NC.
There was great anticipation that he would qualify for the National
Championship, but he fell short of the goal. Only the top five
finishers qualified to compete in the National Championship Meet in
Joplin, Missouri on November 18, 2007.
Nevertheless, Kichwen had a good season, placing 1st in several
meets, and running well enough to qualify for the Regional. He will
be a force to reckon with in future cross-country events.
