Plagued By Injury, Firebirds Fare Well At Hood

Frederick, MD: October 25, 2008— James Kichwen led the way as the injury plagued Firebirds left their mark at Hood College on Saturday.  Kichwen won the event easily, followed by Justin Chemallan (4th), Brian Redding (12th), and Aaron Peterson (15th).  this was a warmup race for the men as they are in preparation for the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships on November 8th at Slippery Rock University. "the men did what they had to do short-handed" said Coach Harrison in light of the injuries to Wilfred Chemallan, Linus Kosgei, and Vincent Mageto.  "Jimmy led the way from start to finish, I thinks he's ready for Regionals..." stated Coach Harrison.
