Washington, DC- The University of the District of Columbia women's lacrosse team fell to Mercy, Saturday Afternoon at the UDC Field.
It was a tough first half for the Firebirds as the Mavericks led the game 10-0 going into half time. Kianna Franklin would put UDC on the scoreboard with a goal, eight minutes into the second half. Freshman standout Madison Boykin would then follow up with a goal of her own a few minutes later. The last and final goal for the Firebirds came from leading scorer Franklin, who has scored 17 goals for the Firebirds this season. The Firebirds eventually fell to the Mavericks 20-3.
UDC will head to N.Y. next Saturday April 20, to face off against NYIT in their last game of the season.
