Washington, D.C. – The University of the District of Columbia women's lacrosse team put up a strong fight but ultimately fell 16-5 to Virginia State on Saturday morning at the UDC Athletic Field. UDC showed resilience in the third quarter, with Keliah Tucker and Williams each netting goals to narrow the gap. Bailey added a late goal in the final seconds of the third quarter, but Virginia State's defense shut down the Firebirds in the fourth, sealing the victory.
