Jessica Nunez Featured in Latest Edition of Hispanic Engineer
WASHINGTON, DC- Junior Jessica Nunez (Electrical Engineering – Guayaquil, Ecuador/American School of Guayaquil) has been featured on the cover of the latest edition of the magazine Hispanic Engineer. She was highlighted for excelling in the classroom as an electrical engineering major, as well as on the court as a member of University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team.
Nunez was named the pre-season East Coast Conference Player of the Year and also received First Team All-ECC honors this fall for the third consecutive season.
The magazine also highlights Nunez's achievements in the classroom as an electrical engineering major. She was able to maintain a 3.40 GPA while committing a lot of time to the women's tennis team.
Nunez comes from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She graduated in 2010 from Colegio Americano Guayaquil, where she competed in tennis, swimming, volleyball, and track & field. Nunez has her eyes set on a career in technology. She points out that she wants to create digital components such as personal audio, phones, computers, and tablets to name a few. She sees herself working for a high-caliber company such as Sony or Apple.
