MATCH DAY PREVIEW: WOMEN'S TENNIS 10/14

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team will take on conference foe Daemen College in Williamsville, N.Y.

Scouting UDC Women's Tennis 

• The Firebirds are 3-1, 1-0 ECC on the season.
• UDC picked up their first loss of the season last weekend falling to Jefferson University 2-5 
• The Firebirds return 6 players from the 2021-22 season, including three First-Team All-Conference picks (Parn, Sofia Bellucco and Mariona Franco), and a Rookie of the Year (Valentina Brienza)
• UDC Women's Tennis finished the 2021-22 season with a 15-3 overall record. They won the ECC Championship in the Fall of 2021 and was the second seed in the NCAA East Regional Tournament in the spring. 

Scouting Daemen Women's Tennis

• The Wildcats are 2-4, 1-2 ECC on the season 
• Daemen is coming off a two game win streak, and picked up their first conference win of the season against D'Youville University to the score of 5-2, last weekend.

History

The last time these two teams met was on October 24th, 2022, in the ECC semifinals where the Firebirds defeated the Wildcats 4-0 to advance to the championship finals. The all-time record between these two teams is 9-0 in favor of UDC.
