Demia Franklin Finishes 3rd in 300 M Dash at Kent State Tune-up, to Lead Team

Kent, Ohio: February 20, 2010-Demia Franklin, a junior from Baltimore, MD finished 3rd in the 300 meter dash at the Kent State University Tune-up, to lead the  University of the District of Columbia Women's Indoor Track & Field team in the events. Franklin came in with the time of 43.48.

Demia had already run in the 800 meter dash and came back in less than an hour to take 3rd in the 300 meter. Junior Saleena Green (Kingston, Jamaica) gave a solid performance at the Meet, finishing 8th in the 200 meter dash and placing 2nd among college competitors.

Dicoda Waugh, a junior from Kingston, Jamaica, did her personal best in the triple jump with a distance of 1.48 meters.

The Team returns to the oval on Saturday, February 26, at the NYU Fastrack Invitational in New York, New York.
