Seven Firebirds Earn All-Region Honors

WASHINGTON, DC- Seven Firebirds earned USTFCCCA Outdoor Track and Field All-East Region Honors as was announced by the organization this week. 

Emmanuela Katou Kouami earned All-Region honors in both the discus and the hammer throw. In the discus she threw a personal best of 42.42m earlier this season and broke the ECC Outdoor Championship record in the hammer with a throw of 46.69m. 

Tukey Francis earned All-Region honors for her performance in the 200m with a personal best time of 24.71s.

Ayesha Jarrett earned All-Region honors in the the 400m with a time of 57.43s which she ran at the ECC Outdoor championship to place first. 

Serena Prince earned All-Region honors in the triple jump after breaking the ECC Championship record with a leap of 11.88m and Zoe Shaw earned All-Region in the high jump after hitting the NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 1.67m earlier this season.

Samantha Morrison and Rainn Sheppard , Jarrett and Francis also earned All-Region honors in the 4x400m relay with their time of 3:55.41.
