Westbury, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team fell to the NYIT Bears, Saturday Afternoon at the President's Stadium field.
It was a slow start for the Firebirds as the first quarter saw the Bears outscoring them 7-2. During the second quarter, both defensive teams played very well with the goalies receding only two goals each. The heat would turn up in the last two quarters with UDC scoring six goals, but it would prove not to be enough as they eventually fell to NYIT 21-11.
The Firebirds will face off against Molloy College on Saturday April 27th in their final game of the season.
