Jackson & Campbell Headline ECC Weekly Awards; Morgan Jr Makes Weekly Honor Roll
WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Latavia Jackson and Micah Campbell were named ECC Offensive and Defensive Players of the week, as was announced by the conference office, Monday afternoon. Eric Morgan Jr was also named to the ECC weekly honor roll.
Jackson had her best week as a Firebird, averaging 28.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. She registered her first double-double of the season against Georgian Court, posting a career-high 33 points while grabbing 10 rebounds, two steals, and a block. She also shot at 51.2 percent from the field on the week (22-for-43).
Campbell averaged 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game over three games. In the game against Alliance, he registered a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds, while swatting away an ECC season-high six blocks.
Morgan, Jr. averaged 11.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game in a 1-2 week. He scored double-figures in the Firebirds' win over Goldey-Beacom and in the game against Bloomfield. He posted a team-high 18 points in the win over GBC while grabbing two rebounds, a steal, and a block.
