Washington, DC – UDC Director of Athletics, Patricia Thomas, is proud to announce the hiring of Kendra Greene as the Associate Director of Athletics for Academics and Senior Women's Administrator.
Kendra Greene comes to the UDC Athletic Department after two years in the UDC Office of Retention and Academic Advising, under the Office of the Provost and VP of Academic Affairs. In that capacity, Kendra served as an Academic Advisor for the 2009-2010 year and as a Lead Academic Advisor for the 2010-2011 year. During her time as a Lead Academic Advisor, Kendra managed a student caseload of roughly three hundred students, consisting of special student populations including: Veterans and Armed Service members, student-athletes, and Gear Up DC students. During her time at UDC, Kendra has exhibited an exceptional commitment to the academic enrichment of the UDC student population. Kendra came to UDC after three years at the University of Maryland where she served in an academic advising and student support role. While at Maryland she worked with special student groups of student-athletes. She also taught university orientation courses to the Markets and Societies cohort of pre-business students and other undeclared undergraduate students. Before her time at Maryland, Kendra worked at the University of Oklahoma as a Special Events and Facility Management Coordinator for the Athletic Department in the Lloyd Noble Center. While at the University of Oklahoma, Kendra also worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Department in an academic support and special events role.
Kendra earned her Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration. She is a native of Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Sociology and a focus in Pre-Law.
