UDC Basketball to Host Youth Day Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 PM
Washington, DC – The UDC Men's and Women's Basketball teams are excited to announce the Annual Basketball Youth Day on Saturday, January 28th.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday, January 28th
1:00 PM: UDC Women's Basketball vs. St. Thomas Aquinas
3:00 PM: UDC Men's Basketball vs. St. Thomas Aquinas
* Located in the UDC Gym in the Sports Complex (Building 47)
Youth Day Activities (Open to All Ages, Individuals and Teams)
- Observe team warm-ups with fun music
- Snack bar will open with pizza, soft drinks, and snacks for sale
- Photo opportunities with the UDC Firebird Mascot
- Halftime youth games and basketball skills competitions
- Post-game autograph session with UDC Basketball Teams immediately following each game
- Giveaways – UDC Basketball Posters and Magnets
- First 100 kids at each game get a mini UDC basketball
RSVP to Matt Rienzo, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Communications, at mrienzo@udc.edu. Teams must supply a team roster by Thursday, January 26th in order to gain free admission. Individual youth participants who rsvp are also eligible for free admission. Parents accompanying children must pay admission per the normal ticket policy.
