UDC Women’s Basketball Announces 2024-2025 Schedule

Washington, D.C. -The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team has announced its 2024-2025 season schedule. This year's schedule features 12 home games and 14 road match ups. 

The Firebirds will open their season at a Conference Challenge hosted by the College of Staten Island from November 8-9. They will take on Holy Family University on the 8th and Franklin Pierce University on the 9th.

UDC will play their first home game on November 16 against Bloomfield College at 1:00 PM at the UDC Sports Complex as a part of a doubleheader for homecoming.

This year's schedule features a handful of HBCU match ups, including Virginia State University, Virginia Union and the annual rivalry game against Bowie Sate University, which is set for December 4. 

UDC will kick off ECC play with a three game home stand against D'Youville University, Daemen University and the College of Staten Island on December 6, 8, and 14. 

The second half of the season opens with a road match up against regional opponent Thomas Jefferson University on January 6 before heading back into conference play for the remainder of the regular season. 

UDC looks to make their fourth consecutive ECC play-offs which will be hosted from March 5-9.
